Welcome to the Lenoir Housing Authority online application.

You will be required to answer ALL questions in order to submit your online application.

If you have a working email address that you are able to access please provide it where requested so that an application confirmation can be sent.

You will be required to bring ORIGINAL copies of the following:

1. 1. Birth Certificates from everyone listed on the application
2. 2. Social Security cards for everyone listed on the application
3. 3. Photo IDs for every applicant over the age of 18.
4. 4. Verification of Income- Three (3) pay stubs or a wage verification form provided by LHA, proof of child support payments.
5. 5. Applicants who receive any funds from Social Security will need to provide a copy of the Benefit letter. Bank statements will not be accepted.
6. 6. You must have a Permanent Resident Card or Employment Card if you are not a natural born citizen of the United States.

Important Information

In order to Qualify for Public Housing with LHA an applicant and all members must:

Meet the HUD requirements on citizenship or immigration status.
Have an annual income at the time of admission that does not exceed the income limits established by HUD. These income limits are posted in the PHA’s office.
Pay ALL money owed to ANY HUD subsidized housing, Duke Energy, and Piedmont Natural Gas, (Verification of payment is required).
NOT be subject to lifetime sex offender registration requirements.
Not have any household members who are engaged in any criminal activity that threatens the life, health, safety, or right to peaceful enjoyment of the premises by other residents, and not have any household members who are engaged in any drug- related or violent criminal activity.
Qualify as a suitable renter after the PHA conducts screening of prior rental history, and financial responsibility.
